AìNGEL Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 4 October 2025
Effective Date: 4 October 2025
Quick Navigation
Welcome to AìNGEL. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our voice-first AI health companion platform. Please read them carefully.
Important Notice
By using AiNGEL, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the AìNGEL website, mobile applications, or services ("Platform"), you agree to:
- Be legally bound by these Terms
- Comply with our Privacy Policy (available at /privacy)
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations
- Accept responsibility for your use of the Platform
If you're using AiNGEL on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Critical Medical Disclaimers
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - THIS IS VITAL INFORMATION
AiNGEL is NOT Medical Advice
AìNGEL is an AI health companion designed to support your wellbeing journey. It provides information, reminders, and support, but it is NOT:
- A replacement for professional medical advice
- A diagnostic tool
- A treatment recommendation service
- A medical professional or healthcare provider
Always Consult Healthcare Professionals
ALWAYS seek advice from your GP, doctor, nurse, or other qualified healthcare professional for:
- Any medical questions or concerns
- Diagnosis of health conditions
- Treatment decisions
- Medication changes
- Any symptoms you're experiencing
NEVER ignore or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something AiNGEL has said.
NOT for Emergencies
AiNGEL is NOT an emergency service. If you have a medical emergency:
Call 999 immediately for life-threatening emergencies
Examples: chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, stroke symptoms, loss of consciousness, severe allergic reactions
Call 111 for urgent but non-life-threatening situations
When you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency - NHS 111 is available 24/7
No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Using AiNGEL does NOT create a doctor-patient relationship or any healthcare provider-patient relationship between you and AiNGEL, its employees, or affiliates.
3. AI Technology & Automated Decision-Making
Understanding How AiNGEL Works
What is AiNGEL?
AìNGEL uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to provide personalised health support. This means:
- Software algorithms analyse your health data and interactions
- The system learns patterns to provide personalised recommendations
- Responses are generated automatically based on what you tell AiNGEL
- Voice interactions are processed using speech recognition and natural language understanding
How AI Processes Your Data
AiNGEL's AI technology processes:
- Voice data: Your voice recordings are converted to text and analysed for meaning
- Health information: Data you provide about your health, medications, and wellbeing
- Usage patterns: How and when you use AiNGEL to personalise your experience
- Preferences: Your settings and choices to tailor support
This processing happens automatically - the AI makes decisions without human intervention for routine interactions.
AI Limitations & Potential for Errors
It's important to understand that AI technology has limitations:
- AI can make mistakes: The system might misunderstand what you say or provide inaccurate information
- Not always contextually aware: AI might not fully understand complex or unique situations
- Limited to training data: The AI's knowledge comes from data it was trained on, which may not cover every situation
- Cannot replace human judgment: AI lacks the nuanced understanding of human healthcare professionals
- May not detect emergencies: AI might not recognise when you need urgent medical attention
Always verify important health information with qualified healthcare professionals.
Your Right to Human Review
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to not be subject to automated decision-making that significantly affects you. This means:
- You can request human review of any AI-generated recommendation
- You can question or challenge automated decisions
- You can request manual intervention where appropriate
- You can opt out of certain automated features
To request human review or raise concerns about AI decisions, contact us at ark@aingel.life.
Transparency & Explainability
We're committed to being transparent about how AI makes decisions. You can always ask AiNGEL "Why did you suggest this?" or "How did you arrive at this recommendation?" We'll provide explanations in plain language about the AI's reasoning.
4. Emergency Protocols
When to Seek Emergency Help
Call 999 Immediately For:
- •Chest pain or heart attack symptoms: Pressure, squeezing, pain in chest, arms, neck, jaw, or back
- •Stroke symptoms (FAST): Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 999

- •Severe allergic reactions: Swelling of face/throat, difficulty breathing after allergen exposure

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Emergency Contact Features
AiNGEL offers optional emergency contact notification features where, with your consent, we can:
- Store emergency contact details you provide
- Send alerts to your nominated contacts in certain situations
- Share limited health information with emergency contacts (only with your explicit permission)
Important: These features do NOT replace calling emergency services. They're designed to notify your personal contacts, not medical professionals.
Limitations During Emergencies

- AiNGEL cannot provide real-time emergency medical guidance
- AiNGEL cannot guarantee that emergency contacts will receive or respond to alerts
